A powerhouse lineup of high school football programs from across the country will converge in South Florida this August for the Broward County National Football Showcase, a three-day event featuring marquee matchups between some of the nation’s and Florida’s top teams.
Scheduled for August 21–23 and hosted across three Florida high schools, the showcase brings national attention to the Sunshine State as elite programs from five states join 11 Florida squads for a slate of highly anticipated games.
Leading the national contingent is Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA), the consensus No. 1 team in the country to close out the 2024 season. The Monarchs finished a perfect 13-0 and captured the CIF Open Division state championship. They were unanimously ranked No. 1 by On3, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated.
Joining them are other national heavyweights, including:
- St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) – Ranked No. 3 in Maryland and No. 19 nationally, the Panthers ended last season on a six-game winning streak with an 8-3 record.
- St. Joseph’s Prep (Philadelphia, PA) – Pennsylvania’s top-ranked team, the Hawks finished 11-2 and won the Class 6A state title with a commanding win over Central Catholic.
- Corner Canyon (Draper, UT) – The Utah Class 6A champions went 13-1 in 2024 and are ranked eighth in the country.
- Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA) – The Lions posted a 6-6 record and reached the second round of Georgia’s Class 6A playoffs.
Florida will be well represented with 11 teams, headlined by Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, FL), the state’s top-ranked program. The Lions finished 13-2 last season and won the Class 1A state championship over Clearwater Central Catholic.
Other top in-state contenders include:
- American Heritage (Plantation, FL) – Ranked No. 3 in Florida, the Patriots finished 12-2 in 2024.
- St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) – Ranked No. 5 in the state with a 12-3 record.
Rounding out the Florida field are Archbishop McCarthy, Cardinal Gibbons, Dillard, Dr. Phillips, Jacksonville Bolles, Monarch, Piper, and West Broward.
With national rankings, state champions, and powerhouse programs all in the mix, the Broward County National Football Showcase is expected to be one of the premier high school football events of the 2025 season.
